Hi, everyone.

Just a note to let you know I'll be a featured speaker at Literacy Alive in Silver City, New Mexico, on April 5, 2008, sponsored by the Friends of the Library.  Fellow New Mexico author Michael McGarrity is the keynote.

I'll also be signing books at the annual convention of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists in San Antonio on April 21 at their bookstore from 9:30 to 11:30, and 1:30 to 3:00.

Since I've updated my newsletter, a lot has happened.  Lake of Fire, the third book in the Yellowstone Series, was released in October, 2007 to wonderful reviews – see the books page.  I was able to get copies for my September book tour in Yellowstone, so I had all three of the series available.  Folks were wonderful, many bought all three so they'd have an autographed set.

I've completed the book I had previously called Night of Fire, the fourth Yellowstone Novel set largely in Jackson Hole during the period 1925-1927 – now I'm planning to call it Jackson Hole Journey.  The story follows the growing family of characters from Lake of Fire (set in 1900) onto a dude ranch in Jackson Hole.  Jackson Hole Journey takes place between the earthquake-activated Gros Ventre Landslide on June 23, 1925 and May 17, 1927, when the dammed-up waters behind the slide break free.  This natural disaster destroyed the town of Kelly, Wyoming.

BUT, before my agent locates a publisher for it, we've decided to add a proposal for yet another Yellowstone story.  Land of Smoke and Thunder, will follow the early explorers of Yellowstone in 1870 and 1871, ending with the establishment in 1872 of the world's first national park.

For fans of romance, The Senator's Daughter, writing as Christine Carroll came out January 1, 2008.  I'm still working to complete Sins of the Fathers, the third story set in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The new Christine Carroll book The Senator's Daughter is the spin off to Children of Dynasty, by Christine Carroll - the story of two secondary characters - Sylvia Chatsworth and Lyle Thomas.  To see more on Children of Dynasty and the The Senator's Daughter please see www.readchristinecarroll.com.

For fans of Lany, I've got in her latest pic.

Thanks for stopping by!
